Crossposted from original post published to AgentWP blog.
As the jet lag and post WCEU’24 blues wears off, I wanted to put some of my personal thoughts together and publish them on our (WordPress-powered) blog.
WordCamp EU 2024 🇮🇹 for the AgentWP / WPAI team can be summed up in 1 word: Inspirational.
We didn’t have any primary agenda going into this WordCamp. We’re still a bit early to be sponsoring, signing contracts, or having a big booth.
Instead, I hoped to speak to old friends, introduce our ideas to new ones, and gather feedback on AgentWP. Unexpectedly, both Greg and I found that everybody already knew what we were working on.
Since our launch, we’ve known we’re building something special, and have long been excited by the possibilities of applying AI to the CMS that powers 43% of the web. But we’re a remote company in a remote industry. We’ve chatted with dozens of agency owners, end users, and hosts online. People have shared our waitlist referral link. I’ve received many DMs with thoughts, questions, and ideas from the community.
But you just don’t feel the love and excitement like you do at a WordCamp event.
There aren’t many places that bring together the CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies, enthusiasts, and everybody in between. It was awesome to chat with the people behind the products, web hosts, investors, founders, developers, end users, and so many other types of people – all brought together by our incredible industry.
The excitement for AgentWP was palpable. There aren’t many industries that will even listen to a small startup. However, it’s clear that people are not just interested in what we’re building, but genuinely ready to begin using it. We never thought that almost everybody would know AgentWP; half the people we spoke to were already on our waitlist!
It’s also great to see that the core project, and massive solutions like Woo have their boots on the ground, and are actively seeking feedback.
Now that we’re back in Austin, Texas 🇺🇸, we’re incredibly energized to bring the best possible AI solution to WordPress as soon as we can. We’ve always been obsessed with our mission, but this event has given us the rocket fuel we need to build and release a magical Agent for WordPress.
We can’t wait to incorporate your incredible ideas and feedback into future versions of our product, announce the partnerships that were seeded at this event, and truly … Do Anything WordPress!
It’s our goal to have a larger presence at the next WCEU in Basel, Switzerland 🇨🇭. So if you see us there (maybe with a booth), don’t hesitate to stop by!
👋 Until next year, WCEU!
